Janie came up here about 3 years ago to live with her forever family, but unfortunately due to a change of life circumstance they have to surrender her back to us The shared "Janie is a very sweet, very funny dog who absolutely adores her people and loves to snuggle every chance she gets. She is a complete angel in the home, never getting into anything other than her toys. She is very smart and loves to do puzzle toys. Prepare to laugh when she sits on her butt and crosses her legs while you eat. She can be nervous and shy when meeting new people but she does warm up with treats. Janie can be dog selective and only likes very calm dogs. Out on a walk she can go up to people and bark at them so she would be best living in a suburban area where she can go for walks without seeing tons of others. She would not do well in a city or apartment environment. She loves to go for long walks/hikes and sniff in the woods so she would love a human who would take her on these kinds of adventures. She is a smart girl who knows lots of commands including sit, lay down, stay, wait, heel and shake. She is housebroken and does still enjoy her crate a few hours a week. She would be best in a kid free and cat free home with an experienced owner who would understand how to introduce her to strangers. She is such a great girl who deserves people to love!" Sweet Janie was found wandering the roads, and we could never find where she belonged. She is very quiet and gentle. She is independent yet still loving. Janie is wonderful in the crate and very relaxed and resilient. She enjoys walking on a leash and tends to roam a bit off leash, so a fence or leash is best with her. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
