My Story

Jake came from a home, but his person passed away and nobody in the family was able to care for him or his sister Callie. This unique terrier is very high energy and highly intelligent, and needs space to run as well as daily walks. Jake is smart and treat motivated, and he loves playing with toys. A squeaky ball is the very best gift you could give to this boy. Jake is very sweet with the humans but we think he needs to be the only dog in his new home. We have not found another dog with whom he gets along, not even Callie who he previously lived with. Jake would thrive in a home with active people who engage in lots of outside activities, and obedience/agility training would be something he would really enjoy. He will need a yard with a tall fence as he is quite the jumping bean. “”Jagdterriers are bold, adventurous, and outgoing dogs,” says Corinne Wigfall, DVM, BVS, BVM, consulting veterinarian with SpiritDog Training. “They are bred for hunting and incredibly good at their job. A jagdterrier can run all day and not get tired.” Visit Jake at www.hua.org!
