Jake is 4 years old. His previous owner says that he is very active and needs a great deal of attention. Jake is accustomed to living outdoors and is harness broken. He is good with kids and dogs, unknown with cats. He is leash-trained, handles nicely and minds well. Jake is good in a truck and is an easy keeper. He knows Come, Stay and Let's Go. A nice boy.
Our volunteers took Jake for a test drive on February 4th, running in a 7-dog team (led by SCL dog Midnight):
"This is an awesome approximately 5 year old sled dog. He was excellent; ran in lead, also ran elsewhere in the team perfectly. Jake is a nice mid to distance dog, great coat, nice build and beautiful gait. This guy was a hard worker and very well mannered in the team. Fine with all other dogs. He is a little shy with people but easy to handle, and seems like he would come around well once he gets to know you. About 55-60lbs."
