My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Jake (JAK1223HZLMN) Estimated Breed: Boxer MIX Approximate Age: 2 year Approximate Weight: 50 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Jake, an affectionate soul who's bound to steal your heart with his super friendly personality! His love for everyone, human and canine alike, is infectious and his easy-going nature makes him a joy to be around. Jake is great with other dogs, making him a perfect addition to a home with other furry dog friends, but no cats. He is the epitome of a loyal companion, always eager to give and receive love. His friendly nature and calm disposition make him a perfect fit for any family. He is housetrained and does well in a crate if needed. Jake has been diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus and will be on meds for life...but the good news is the meds are cheap meds called Desmopressin. You can get the pills online for about $20 a month. Fill out an application today and give sweet Jake a chance to have the happy forever home he deserves! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
