Jackson

Jackson is a BIG handsome tricolour smoothie with a cute black spot under his left armpit. Jackson is about three years old and has already had two shelter stays in his life plus lord knows how many homes. We would like his next home to be his forever home.

Jackson gets along well with other dogs - large & small, male & female. He rides well in the car and crates reasonably well. He seems to be a very sensible dog with some basic obedience skills, who has simply been neglected (he was very thin when he came in to rescue) and unappreciated.

UPDATE: Jackson is the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Jacks. Pure muscle! He can do this mind-boggling move, running flat out pursued by two big Labrador buddies, where he leaps about three to four feet in the air at full speed and REVERSES himself IN the air 180 degrees, landing BEHIND the dogs who are chasing him. I have never seen anything quite like it! This guy would make a superb flyball competitor.

Jackson is a serious dog. He plays particularly well with big dogs, but he likes to spend some quiet time curled up in his crate (with the door open). He is kind of a "still waters run deep" guy - not openly demonstrative but he likes to come & press his head against you and inhale deeply and look totally blissed out. Not a wriggle-yapper - he takes his relationships seriously. He has excellent listening skills and a coat as soft as velour. Never felt anything quite so velvety. :)
