NEEDS A QUIET HOME SO NO CHILDREN, PLEASE !! JACKSON IS CURRENTLY IN A HUMANE SOCIETY FOSTER HOME. This small little designer (one of a kind) boy was found as a stray in Magoffin County, KY, where he probably would not have lasted very long with the Coyotes needing to feed their young in the Appalachian Hills. Jackson was estimated to be 1 year of age on 3/30/04 and weighed 15.4 lbs. He has a short tan coat with black guard hairs and, while he measures 15" from the base of his neck to the base of his tail, he stands only 12" tall at the top of his shoulder. Although Jackson craves attention, he can be easily frightened. He needs a very special person who will patiently give him the time he needs to completely trust. (Hint: Points can be won by taking him on rides and buying him a McDonald's small plain hamburger!) Because he can be fearful, he will not be placed in a home where he can be exposed to small children. However, he loves other dogs of all sizes as long as they aren't aggressive toward him and he either ignores cats as not worthy of his attention or he hides from them if they are more aggressive towards him. His "attempts" at barking are laughable because the soft sounds he makes are hardly recognizable as barking but rather sound more like a little kid whining.
