My Story

BONDED PAIR Betsy (black) and Jack (grey/white) are a bonded pair. They love love love each other, and are excellent playmates and kennelmates. They are to be adopted together. Betsy and Jack's former owner thought that they are both poodle mixes (she said Betsy is half Akbash but we're guessing she is possibly Gordon setter, and Jack might be half sheepdog) and are about 1 year old. Their former owner gave them to a friend when the owner had to make an emergency move, but that friend did not keep them and they ended up with us. Both are energetic dogs with incredibly sweet and fun dispositions. They would do well in almost any situation. We'd love to see them where they can put some of their natural talents and inclinations to use doing pet therapy or the like. These gorgeous young dogs have so much potential! To meet this precious duo, call 913-684-4939. Email [email protected] for an adoption application. Visit the Fort Leavenworth Stray Facility at 510 Organ Ave. on post MWF 11-4 and 9-noon the second Saturday of the month. Be sure to call before you visit to make sure a volunteer is there to meet you! 913-684-4939 Featured as the Pets of the Week in the Aug. 8, 2024, issue of the Fort Leavenworth Lamp.
