Jack * adopted

Jack is 7 yrs old & came to us because he was becoming aggressive with the new addition to the family...an 18 month old rambunctious toddler. Jack had never been around a little human that walks on all fours. This is the most common age that children get bit because they smell like humans but walk around like dogs. When a growl would normally ward off unwanted interactions from another dog, a child does not know that in dog language that means stay away. One day Jack decided he'd had enough of the child jumping on him & pulling his hair & ears & decided to snap at the child. So his owners decided it was time for Jack to go. He's receiving some TLC & LOTS of training now to be sure that he'll be the perfect pet once again. He's OK with cats (he lived with one), loves to swim & his previous owner said he actually does cliff dives so if you have a pool I'm sure Jack would love to jump into it with you all summer long!!! He walks well on leash, he's neutered, housebroken, healthy & is a lovable GSP that just needs to be in a home without small children. Its hard to believe he's 7 yrs old because he looks & acts much younger. He's very playful & would also be quite happy to have another dog around to romp & play with every day!! If you have lots of love to give & a home without small children then Jack is the man for you!!! UPDATE ON JACK'S TRAINING: he went visiting the 4-H kids and an obedience class tonight where he was worked by a 14 year old girl and she had him heeling beautifully with her within 10 minutes.
