Say “Hello” to “
Jack, a happy one-and-a-half year old playful, puppyish Lab who dances across the yard when he plays with his foster mom! He’s wonderful with everyone: kids, men, women, and other dogs. Soft and silky as can be, he loves to petted and hugged and is completely irresistible! Sixty pound Jack is a delightful size. He’s housetrained, one smart pup and a quick learner. He already knows sit and to come when called. Like many youngsters, leash manners need some work.
Jack’s favorite thing in the world is to GO anywhere – ride or walk, he’s ready! Another favorite is to play fetch, chase and keep away. He’s getting the hang of bringing the toy back and dropping it for his foster mom. Jack rides well in a crate in the car and is learning to be comfortable with it at home. He’s pretty good about only chewing on his own toys, but, like a true Lab youngster, he finds a pillow or blanket can be tempting!
His foster mom is thoroughly enjoying this little guy: “Jack is full of energy and ready to run and play, but when in the house he is quiet and well behaved. He does not jump up on people. He is happy to sleep all night next to your bed -- I think he wants to sleep on the bed!” And no wonder -- resilient, optimistic Jack was left neglected without food, water or shelter before he was rescued.
Handsome, young and incredibly happy Jack says: “Grab a collar and leash; I’m ready for adventure with you . . . but don't forget my food!"
