Izzy Bee (AKA Isabelle) is a five year old female shih tzu. We're told she's supposed to be a purebred, but she doesn't exactly fit the description. She has almost a Benji look, but much lighter in color. She probably weighs 25-30 pounds.
Izzy Bee came from a home with several other dogs, a cat, and children. She is very protective of her home and property, and does not like some strangers (she can be picky). She would probably do best in a home that does not get a lot of visitors. Once she gets to know you, she does give kisses, enjoys being petted, and tends to stay pretty close to you following from room to room as you walk.
Izzy has epilepsy. She only has seizures when she's really stressed out, but tests confirmed 6/21/07 that she does have epilepsy. She will be starting medication immediately, and will require daily meds for the rest of her life. Her medication costs $5 per month, and she takes three pills a day (one in the morning, and two in the evening).
Izzy does great in the car, and is housebroken. She will run away if you just let her out, so she needs to have a securely fenced yard. She just came here on June 7th (2007).
Izzy will be spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations before she leaves. She is scheduled at the Veterinary Hospital for Monday, June 25th (2007).
