Ivar/adopt pending

This is a wonderful gentle dog and would make anyone a great friend and companion . He is about 10 years old and has the wisdom which comes with age ie:how to walk on leash, how to sit, is housebroken and how to act with other people, children and other dogs. He is a talkative boy and lets you know what he is thinking-he is not a barker. He loves to ride and it seems he is very accustomed to riding knowing when to lay down during acceleration and sitting up during the Cruise portion. He actually prefers to stay in the car when I arrive at my destination. He also really enjoys our hour long walks each night-we set a good pace and he is great on leash. In the house he sleeps or eats.... he is trying to gain 10 pounds! He does not need to be crated in the house as he just sleeps on his dog bed. This is a great older dog with many years left to love and be loved. Please, if you can give him a forever loving home, please complete the application. THANK YOU ROSE...We were able to take this dog into rescue! Ivar has just reached his wonderful new foster home! What a handsome guy! Update from his foster mom: We just went for walk and Ivar does great on leash. He does not pull and knows to stop when I stop. He was very alert to what was happening with people going into houses and other dogs. Upon seeing other dogs he just stood very patiently and watched. He walks at a very comfortable pace.
