Ima Joy is a very busy girl! She wants to play with all the other dogs in her foster home, even when they've been very clear that they are not interested. She's having to learn a little canine communication skills, but is a fast learner and enjoying herself.
She recently tried an agility course for fun and did great! She jumped the jumps, weaved the poles, walked the plank and went through a tube- and was still wagging her tail when done! She enjoyed it!
This is an intelligent dog that does not appear to have much asked of her in the past. She's beginning to learn some self-control. She will still need a basic obedience class and will need to continue working on being polite while walking on a leash. Her leash work will be her biggest challenge, but a consistent caretaker who requires that she walk by their side and ignore distractions will be successful.
This is a wonderful dog that could be a good match for almost any family. Very young children could be a challenge because of her high energy and lack of self-control. She could knock them over and scare them.
