Hunter was picked up by animal control after being dumped on a county resident and killing some of the ducks on the premises. With his stunning blue eyes, we believe this guy may have some Husky in him and Huskys are notorious for having higher prey drives if not raised with small animals. Pair that with the Lab that is naturally drawn to water fowl and Hunter couldn't resist the temptation.
In a shelter environment without farm fowl to keep him out of trouble, Hunter has done very well with other dogs of any gender and welcomes visits from local school groups or volunteers with children. Active and super smart, Hunter is looking for a family to keep him engaged and learning.
