Hunter

Weight: Approx. 45 lbs. Ideal Home: Active family with respectful kids; other dogs may be okay pending meet & greet; cats possible. Favorite Thing: Outings and adventures. Handsome Hunter is a perfectly medium-sized dog and appears to be a mix of cattle dog and some Shiba Inu thrown in for good measure. He's very friendly and interacts sweetly with staff and volunteers. No guarding, no aggression. He is not particularly interested in play time and is at his happiest on walks, runs, car rides, and adventures. We are hoping his new family will be an active one who will include him in their busy lives and activities such as riding around to their kids' various sporting events, hiking, walking, trips to the family camp, etc. Hunter will love all of it. Of note, Hunter was inadvertently exposed to a pair of cats [by a member of the public] in a recent incident at Humane. Although the situation was unfortunate -- but no worries, all involved are safe & sound -- Hunter was nonreactive to the kitties. Because of this situation, we think cats may be okay for him.
