My Story

Hunter is an 11 week old Doberman Pinscher/South African Boerbel mix that was surrendered to our group by his owner, along with 3 of his siblings, because his owner was being evicted from her home. His owner told us that her female Doberman Pinscher had accidently gotten pregnant by her male Boerbel. There were originally 7 puppies. The owner was able to find homes for 3, but was still in search of homes for the others, when she was served with an eviction notice. This is when she got in contact with our group with her plea for us to take the remaining 4 pups right away! We agreed to take the pups as long as she let us spay the mother dog so that this doesn't happen again. Hunter is now a part of our rescue. He has a very large bone structure, with a docked tail. Hunter is staying in one of our local foster homes with lots of other dogs, a few cats, and is around lots of people often. He is working on his house training and basic training while in his foster care. Hunter greets everyone with a wagging butt (since there isn't much of a tail bc it's docked) and he is still so young and trainable, and would make a great pet for any environment, as long as there is room for him to run around. We feel he is going to be a very large boy, based on the size of his paws, his breed mix, and the fact that he is already close to 30lbs at 11 weeks old. Hunter is up-to-date on his vaccines, on heart gard, and is frontlined. For an application to make Hunter your own, please email [email protected]
