Hunter

Even though Hunter had a home, he was always on the run, looking for another home that had the perks of a family to love him. He was able to stay clear of the doggie police for a while, until hunger started to set in and then the humane trap set by animal control to catch feral cats, lured Hunter in. Upon confirming that his previous owner really did not want him, the local animal control sought help from CAAWS for this little guy. Hunter was a tad anemic when we first got him, due to a large family of fleas that had taken up residence with him and no matter how much he begged, they would not leave. Well, CAAWS has evicted everyone and Hunter is healthy and happy now. He is a Dachshund/Lab mix born approximately 10/1/07. He is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. At 7 mnoths old he weighs about 16 lbs. This diamond in the ruff will make a great addition to any family with his sweet demeanor, loving personality and eyes that show you how much he loves life. Due to his former life he is a tad bit timid so a home without children will be best for him. He does well with other dogs and is ready to start his new life.
