Meet Hunter! Hunter is a male, 10-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He weighs 40 pounds.
Hunter arrived at the shelter as a stray. He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up well with food and kind words. We believe that once in a home, he will bond hard with his owner and be very loyal.
Hunter will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering.. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.
Hunter is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today.
