I'm happy, safe and sound at Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue in Richmond, VA. Hunter is my name and I like it. Although typically a boys name, there was a beautiful actress on the soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. Such an elegant name. Kind of funny now...I have a new nickname..."Queen of Zoomies". I LOVE to run in the big exercise run next to my kennel!!!
Check out my photos...I was pretty nervous about the photo session to start but then I got so much attention that I started to enjoy it. The biscuits in the pockets of the lovely ladies were a great incentive.
I want to thank all the fantastic folks at Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge. They were responsible from removing my brothers (Bandit and Spot) and me from a terrible situation. And they also helped seven of our younger siblings too. A total of eight of us were taken to safety at Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue. I have to tell you, the food and love here is pretty darn good! We have a number of volunteers who love to walk us, a big yard where we romp and play, and air conditioning. What a life!
While I truly enjoy being at AGPR, I dream of a very loving family to call my very own. AND a securely fenced in big yard so I can do my zoomies all day long (or at least until nap time). If you are looking for a pretty girl...I'm waiting for you!
All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone!
Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
