Meet Hugo! This 6 year old 20lb little spaniel mix is a true lover. He was found as a stray in Houston by animal control, went through the shelter system and was pulled for rescue. He's been fullt vetted and treated for Heartworms. Now, he's ready to find his forever family! His foster mom says: "Hugo is an absolute lover who only wants to snuggle near his people and enjoy belly rubs. He is a mature dog - no messes in the house, no crying - who waits patiently to go for a walk and for his meals. He’s great on a leash. He loves treats but is not especially food motivated; he’ll leave some dinner in his bowl if he’s had enough. He is wonderful with our resident dog and with children. He hasn’t been tested with cats in NY but was fostered with them in TX. When strangers approach to say hello, he’s very friendly. Not much interest in toys, Hugo prefers people to cuddle with. He’s a handsome boy - lots of compliments when we walk! Small in stature, very pick-up-able. Hugo’s a perfect dog for a relaxed home as he’s timid and sweet. He’d love his people to be around most of the day, or he’d love to go with you to work. He’s like velcro with his people and the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet!" INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
