My Story

Hugh is an older gentleman who was found as a stray in Cherokee County. He had a swollen eye thet the vet decided to remove and has recovered nicely. He is really adjusting well and has gained some weight and looks great! Hugh is a real kick. When he wants his foster mom's attention or wants to know where she is, he starts barking and boy does he have one of those deep basset barks. He loves to eat and finishes his meals faster than any basset in the south! The entire time he is eating his tail is wagging. When he gets tired, he takes himself upstairs to the bedroom and puts himself to bed. He loves to lying in front of the fireplace and going on walks with his foster brother and sister. He prefers a very leisurely walking pace, but what basset doesn't? He is just such a special boy! For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
