ADOPTION PENDING - Huck is an all around great guy! He's very friendly and gentle and is good with other dogs. He also loves to go for walks so he can explore and put that basset nose to work! He is playful, agile and his cheeks puff out when he barks. His favorite activity is watching you eat something and he is so enamored with himself. He loves playing with other dogs, and with people and likes the stimulation of a busy household as he is 6 going on 2 as far as energy goes. His foster mom reports that he is very willing to please his people, is a good snuggler and is very patient and gentle with children. He loves to chase cats, if they run, but won't hurt a cat that stands its ground. Therefore, he is fine with a totally bomb-proof cat, but is not recommended for homes with cats that are afraid of dogs. Huck is housebroken and knows how to use a doggy door.
Huck would be a wonderful family dog. He has been to a few events and seems not to be ruffled by anything he encounters on his travels. Huck is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on his vaccines. He may look sad in his photos so why not put a smile on his face and one on yours watching his antics? He is truely a joy to be around and draws people into how special he is. No one sees or spends time with Huck and not come away happy that they had met him.
