Hua Mulan

Age: 3 years BOD: 3/16/2021 Size: Medium (she's around 40 lbs) Spayed Female Breed: Chinese Village Dog Up-to-date on vaccinations, healthy dog, bloodwork was done on 6/25/2024 -normal. House trained - working on crate training. Good with- children, other dogs, not tested on cats, or very young children but she's usually very gentle. Adoption Fee: $250 Hua Mulan was born in a village in Beijing in 2021. Her mom and siblings were kept in a tiny dirty cage until a kind neighbor found them and took the family in. Lost Puppies of Beijing took in the litter shortly after that and started vaccinations and finding homes for the puppies. Mom was spayed and continues to live in the village. COVID was in full force in China at this time and that made it difficult to find homes for these babies. They are also well over the size restriction for dogs in Beijing. Within the city it is only legal to have dogs under 14 inches at the shoulder- these puppies all were over that by a lot! Out of 8 we have managed to find homes for five of them but three sisters are still looking for homes. Fortunately for Hua Hua we found a wonderful foster family who she lived with for nearly three years. When Hua Hua got the chance to move from Beijing, China to America we jumped at the chance. The process took months to get all of her paperwork together but finally the day came and her foster family brought her to me in Washington DC and then we drove back to Michigan. Hua Hua is a sweet and gentle dog who gives lots of kisses. She's active and playful and will do well with a family who can commit to walking her daily with some added running, biking, or hikes on the side! She can be a little timid with new people but doesn't take long to open up. She loves toys, other dogs, watching TV with you, and being outside in the sun. Adopt this special girl today!
