Howie

Howie, now called Barney (Barnold, The Barnacle, Barniferus, Barnaby, etc.) is a sweet 1 y/o Tree Walking Coon Hound. He was found in League City, TX at a tractor supply. He is looking for his forever home and comes with a few months of heartworm preventative. He is clear and free of heartworms, though! Barney’s manners are good, given he is still a puppy! He has learned the word “no” well, but is still a puppy, and is very food motivated. He does listen well, and he is very sweet with kids and other dogs. He has a beautiful hound bay and will bark at almost any new noise to make sure you are safe. Barney loves to play with other pups and would do best in a home where another younger hound could wear him out! He gets at least one walk a day, though normally two, and is very good on the leash. He does bark at other dogs and people out of excitement, but he is never aggressive toward them. Barney is a toy dog and can often be found at night tossing his toys into the air to entertain himself. He loves puzzle toys, and tug of war/Fetch. I often have to say, “he is just a boy!” because he acts so silly. He flops down on top of you, and just does not know how big he is, he is so snuggly, and really loves to be loved on by his person.
