Horus

Horus is an OUTGOING boy at about 1 year old and 47 pounds! He SUPER playful and can show some puppy tendencies at times! Horus is also your typical husky and is VERY mouthy with typical husky energy levels. He is good with other large dogs, is VERY sweet, loving, and an absolute cuddle bug! Additionally, Horus is crate, potty, AND leash trained, isn't water OR toy aggressive, and will let another dog know if they get a little too close to his bowl! He is a beggar at dinner time, is a VERY quick learner, does sleep on furniture but listens when told no, and is generally a quiet boy though does like to chime into conversations! Horus will jump on people when he is excited but that's about it and is currently working on sit, wait, shake, AND look! Horus is utd on shots, LOW HEARTWORM POSITIVE, and neutered! Horus's Story: Horus's sorrowful face was captured in a singular picture and from there, the nation's attention was captured. He was thought to have been shot in the face on both sides by a Bebe gun and then thrown over a fence into a pack of Pitbull's who were relentlessly going after him. We quickly scooped him up and the world of dog rescue anxiously sat by to hear how he was progressing in his recovery. He immediately went to medical boarding where he received amazing vet care and though he was so loved, it was determined he was highly dog aggressive. Though that was the impression we were given by the vet, we have personally rescued several street dogs who were originally thought to be dog aggressive yet after experienced fosters worked with them, they were amazing with other dogs. That was our hope for Horus as finding a home for a furbaby who can't be around other animals is nearly impossible. With that said, we took a leap of faith and sent him to our sanctuary where he would be surrounded by 45-50 other dogs and miraculously dig AMAZING with all of the dogs!
