HOPE Approximately 5 1/2 Years Old Female 54 Pounds Dog Hello. My name is HOPE. I am approximately 5 1/2 years old, and I arrived at the shelter on March 10, 2021 (3 years and 4 months ago) as a Medical Case. The shelter staff believes that I was used as a bait dog, and had many scars and open wounds when I arrived. I was a very sick girl, because I was also Heartworm Positive. The Shelter and Clinic staff at CHS have taken VERY good care of me. I am now Heartworm Negative, at a healthy weight, and my cuts have healed. I am now ready to go home, and have a person or family of my own to love me. I would like to be the only dog in your home. I love people, and I am good with older children. I LOVE treats, toys, and blankets. I walk very well on a leash, and I am learning my basic commands. I just want to be with you, and I promise that I will return your affection tenfold! I am a very loveable girl. I have beautiful, soulful eyes. I am beautiful inside and out. The CHS Staff have shown me that people can be kind and sweet. Now I need a forever family to show me the same. Are you my person?
