My Story

Meet Honey: A sweetheart who lives up to her name. At just 7 years old, Honey looks like a much older dog. Some bones protrude, her coat is dull, and she moves slowly, but willingly, when it's time for her walks. Honey spends a lot of her days napping in her kennel, which we've kept cozy with soft blankets. Honey has a lot going on health-wise, and to be completely honest we're still determining what her long-term prognosis is. She arrived at Animal Haven with a number of growths all over her body, including masses on her liver and spleen. Our veterinary team removed a larger mast cell tumor from her neck, which was low grade but will need to be monitored for regrowth. Medical issues aside, Honey is a total lovebug! While she will need a home without stairs, Honey is otherwise a pretty easy dog. She sleeps most of the day and should make for an excellent couch companion in between short walks outside.
