PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - HOLT BREED - Chihuahua/Pug mix SIZE - About 10 pounds AGE - 4-5 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Holt is a lovely fellow! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and very playful. He came to us from a breeding situation with several other dogs, and we believe he is a perfect mix of chihuahua and pug. Holt absolutely adores people and is great with other well-behaved small dogs. His foster mom reports he is good on a leash and potties outside! Fully grown at just over 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Holt is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. After his neuter he developed a perineal hernia which has since been repaired, and both the surgeon and vet are happy with his successful outcome. And a perfect dog deserves a perfect home! So we are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give him the room to run and play safely. A home without small children who may accidentally hurt him is a must. Otherwise, Holt will fit in well with most any family. Our adoption process starts with your email to [email protected] or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs Holt and matches our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Holt dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
