Holmes is an approximately 2 year old border collie mix. Weighing in at around 40 pounds, Holmes has a calm, docile temperament. He is a smart boy, a quick learner, and ready for an active adopter who can continue his training. He doesn't like being roughly handled, so he would do best in a home without small children, although older, respectful, dog-savvy kids should be fine. He will need an owner who understands herding breed types and their tendencies.
Holmes had a rudimentary cat test, and seemed fine. Further testing and or proper, careful introductions will be needed - but he does not seem prey driven. Good boy!
