Higgins (the 2nd)

Higgins is being adopted to Toronto January 28, 2007 to Jennette Frost. Higgins is a very nice little dog, white with beige, his hair does shed, he looks like a westie or wire haried terrier & wheaton terrier mix. He rode home with Abbey, a co-rescue, and was very nice to her . He rides well in the car, he likes to sit on laps, & is fine crated. He can be perfectly fine with his food for days and then other days he decides other dogs are not to go near his food - as with any dog we recommend no free feeding and thus feeding all dogs in seperate areas twice daily. He usually plays well with other dogs too but again he gets wound p and will msibheave if they get too far into play fighting. He woudl likely prefer to be someones lone pet as that way he woudl be the star. He can jump onto chairs, and coffee tables with little effort. He and his family woudl benefit from going to a positive reinforcement training course to set the house rules. He is fostered with a cat and 4 dogs, and 2 teenagers, the vet clinic did not give me an age on his folder, but he is no more than a year old and he was 17 lbs when we got him, he was found in walkerton dogcatcher area on December 15th - we have had him neutered and vaccinated, and treated for parasite prevention, and he was placed into foster care December 23rd while he awaits adoption to a compatible home - please apply by completing dog adoption application on the adoption page of www.adoptapet.lucknow.on.ca
