Higgins, formerly JH #8 (http://www.dpsrescue.com/jailhouse.html) is ready to find his fur-ever home. Check out his before and now after photos! He is simply amazing looking now. We knew there was a beautiful boy under all of that but we just needed a good groomer to help us see him. Higgins is about 3 years old. He weighs just about 10lbs. He's more the size of a traditional Shih Tzu than a Maltese. He does have the non-shedding Maltese hair that is also an option for those who suffer from allergies.
Higgins gets along with other dogs. He's friendly and outgoing. He is an option to go with well behaved kids but we prefer no small children due to his small size. Higgins is a total lap dog and would love to be held and cuddled. He'll easily acclimate to a home that wants a buddy to ride in the car with them, walk the kids to school, go to the dog park, hang out and watch a scary movie or cuddle on a stormy night...
