Meet Herschel!
Sweet little Herschel was found eating trash in the street in Long Beach at the end of June. Thankfully, a Good Smaritan was driving by, and she not only got him safely off the street, but ensure he received the veterinary care he needed!
Herschel is estimated to be around 10 years old and appears to be a Pomeranian mix. He was infested with fleas when found, but is flea free-now! He is currently being treated for an ear infection and bacterial infection on his skin and is already feeling much better.
Herschel is very sweet, quiet, and reserved, which is understandable given all he's been through. Luckily, the way to his heart is through his stomach, and he warms up with treats! He loves pets and gentle attention.
Herschel is being fostered in a home with dogs younger than him, and he doesn't pay them much attention unless they try to play or get in his face. As a mature senior gentleman, he is not interested in rough housing, just the simple pleasures of living in a home and being part of a family that loves him.
