My Story

Hi! I'm Henry. I am a mixed Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix. I am 2 years old and weigh 70 lbs. I am neutered, up to date on all of my shots, and I am on heartworm preventative. I am good with other dogs, although I probably shouldn’t be in a home with very small children because I might knock them down unintentionally due to my size. I can sit and I can shake hands and I am crate trained. Please give me a forever home.

More about Henry from his foster mom:
When she first got henry in May 2008, he was afraid and, when she cornered him (she was getting him out of his crate or something and reached in to pull him out), he snapped at her but, within a couple of days, he was not afraid anymore and has been fine from then on. he loves other dogs and he is not food aggressive at all -- lorie can put her hands on him while he eats and he never flinches. we just wanted you to be aware that, since the transport is chaotic and stressful for all the dogs, when henry first gets off the transport he might be a little snappy but will be fine soon after getting to your house and running around and seeing that everything is good -- and he also might be totally fine all along -- it's been my experience that the dogs i think will have the hardest time on transport end up being the best behaved ones on there! he's a very good boy and has been for months now at lorie's house.
