My Story

This 35-pound pooch was found late November in Genoa WI, along the Mississippi. CASA will be advertising her for a few more days but if she's not claimed, we'll be getting her vet work done and she'll be ready for adoption. She's a very pretty dog and the family who first found her said she was OK with their cat and their small dog during the one indoor visit and that she appeared to be house-trained. She's very out-going with people and would do best with introductions to larger dogs. The Norwegian Elkhound is one of the oldest known breeds and has a fascinating history. We'd encourage anyone interested in meeting her to research the breed, a wise thing to do with any breed being considered as a family member.
