My Story

UPDATED: Peter and Hans have been adopted. We now have Heidi left........Oh, Giant Schnauzer lovers......you may want to keep reading!

E-Rescue is pleased to present the triplets, Heidi, Hans, and Peter von Schnauzer, the delightful Giant Schnauzer puppies. We do not know if they are mixes or not and cannot say they are pure-bred, but..... Heidi, Hans and Peter were favorites at the shelter. The fantastic Animal Control Officer told us that they were the best behaved little ones she's ever seen. They were very tidy about their potty habits, only using one corner of their inside/outside kennel run to do their duty, keeping the rest of their temporary home clean as a whistle for play time, sleeping and dining. Seeing that they are only 3 to 4 months old, this is actually quite remarkable and bodes well for future house-training efforts. Heidi, Hans and Peter will be big dogs, weighing up to 75 to 80 pounds. Each will require a home with secure yards, plenty of exercise and training to make sure they continue to be good little canine citizens. According to the experts, Giant Schnauzers require early socialization to make sure they are comfortable around new people. They can be rambunctious goofballs and serious defenders of their homes, all rolled into one glorious dog. They must be kept challenged to keep their intelligent minds occupied of they can and will make their own entertainment. The humans in these pups lives must be the "alphas" to make sure they turn out to be fabulous canine companions, so previous experience with big, super-smart dogs is required for the success of these puppies.
