HEDGEHOG

HEdgehog is a chi mix about a year old. One of 80 dogs from a hoarding situation in Alabama.. UTD on shots, hw negative, appt is set up for a spay this coming week 7/21. Hedgy is a submissive girl, fairly unsocialized but she is more of a people dog than a dogs dog. She will do well with someone who can take the time to train her, work with her, teach her commands, leash skills and get her out and about. She does very well when there is another dog around, once that is kind and playful not a bully. We had her to class this past week just to socialize and she did great. She was interested in people, and other dogs, she was not vocal and liked exploring the building.. She loves to be with you, but also enjoys the company of another dog. RIdes well in the car crated. Does well at the vets. She crate trained easily, is now housebroken and uses the puppy door with ease. Very receptive to training, and it needs to continue with her adopter. Manners classes are imperative for this dog just for socialization. She is medium activity level and would be a great dog for hiking, family outings, farmers market. moderate activity.
