My Story

Gentle giant alert! Heather the happy go lucky cuddle buddy adores people and loves to go on adventures with her pals, and she's a very confident lady! Heather has a very powerful and very happy tail, so when she's excited her tail thwacks are loud and out of this world. Her daily and nightly zoomies are a sight to see (see here) and when she's all done getting that energy out it's belly rub time, (her favorite time in the world). Despite being an adventurous, playful lady, Heather also knows how to sit back and relax with her humans. We hope you like sharing a bed with your furry friends cause Heather insists on it. At least she makes the perfect pillow! Heather can have a bit of a mischievous streak every now and again as she tends to be an avid countersurfer, but generally she is very well-behaved, and a quiet work from home coworker- and as you can see here, she's definitely the personality hire. With a few treats and some positive reinforcement training, kicking any habits shouldn't be too tricky for this cutie. She's crate trained and fully housebroken after she's fully adjusted to a new space. Heather came to PAWS as a stray, but based on her time with us we think she could adjust to many different types of homes with slow introductions, patience, and space to separate while she adjusts in a new environment. Otherwise this sweet girl has skin allergies so adopters should be comfortable providing additional preventative care to help keep her comfortable lifelong. Heather's a one of a kind lady just waiting to meet her forever family, please let us know if she's captured your heart! Age: ~4 years old How I came to PAWS: Found Stray Animal ID#: A-56486 Weight: 56 lbs Mixed breed (It's impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.) Location: Foster Care All of our dog meets are by appointment only; to get started, please complete the adoption application.
