My Story

The Sweetheart Who Will Steal Your Heart! Name: Heart Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 44 lbs (Currently gaining weight) Energy Level: Moderate (Indoor: 3/10, more active during meal and treat times) Foster’s Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/heart_tbt?igsh=MWtjaGRqbzg4dG55ZQ==] Pictures and videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/J6i6Upaszj4HG5V76] Rescue Background: Heart was rescued from a dire situation next to a poultry farm in Pocheon, South Korea. She was neglected and left with minimal care, surviving on discarded poultry and contaminated water. Once she finds a suitable family, she will fly to the US. Approved applicants will have a two-week trial period to ensure the match and commitment. Why Heart is Special: Heart is the epitome of gentleness and affection. She is eager to snuggle into your arms and leans her entire body against you when called. Heart’s friendly and playful nature makes her a favorite at the dog park, and she has outstanding social skills with other dogs. Personality & Socialization: - With Adults: Shows immediate affection to both men and women. - With Children: Shows little interest during casual encounters but hasn’t interacted closely. - With Dogs: Plays well with large and small dogs, showing excellent manners. - With Cats and Other Animals: Sees birds as playmates rather than prey, showing no aggressive tendencies. Home Life & Adaptability: - Alone Time: Can comfortably manage 3-6 hours alone without showing signs of separation anxiety. - Travel: Enjoys car rides without experiencing motion sickness. - Behavioral Notes: Initially pulled on the leash but has significantly improved with basic training. Benefits from reassurance during loud noises or may benefit from ending the walk early. Health & Care: - Crate Training: Adapts well to being in a crate and often uses it as a sleeping spot. - Grooming: Bathing is not her favorite, but she manages and is excellent with teeth brushing. - Vocalization: Rarely barks except to signal for food during mealtime. - House Training: Excellently house-trained for outdoor elimination. Uses pee pads indoors with high accuracy when necessary. - Current Diet: Fed Orijen Original to maintain health and aid in weight gain. Favorite Treats: Loves all treats, particularly chicken. Daily Routine: - Morning: Wakes up early for a morning walk, around 6-6:30 AM. - Daytime: Enjoys visits to the dog park and social play. - Evening: Another hour-long walk followed by dinner. - Night: Sleeps soundly, often alongside caregivers. Ideal Home: Heart would thrive in a home where she is the center of attention, whether as the only pet or with a calm and confident canine companion. She is best suited for a family that can provide her stability and ongoing social interaction with other dogs to boost her confidence in new or scary situations.
