Yes, Hazel is a special girl - and we should know because she has been with us for four years. Because of her wonderful disposition, and charming personality, she has represented the shelter by being one of our official greeters - winning the hearts of many a visitor. We love her. But Hazel is now 6 years old, and we think she deserves to have her very own family where she can have all the love she deserves.
As you might expect, Hazel has met many a dog over the past four years, and she is friendly with almost everybody. She is Queen of the puppy room, guarding the puppies from unforseen dangers at night, and in the morning she greets all of us with her wiggly butt, and soulful eyes. She will happily roll over on her back for a belly rub for as long as you're willing. Or, come out and romp and play in the big front yard with the other office dogs. Treats? She'll be your instant best friend, but she takes them very gently. She's housebroken with us - but does have a doggie door where she can go in and out. She's great in a crate when that is needed, and she is at night, but rarely during the day. She's been an outstanding representative of the shelter, and has more than earned the right to have the next chapter of her life be that of a pampered princess.
Hazel is an "easy keeper" and is a bit plump (shhhh - dont tell her that, she thinks her figure is just right), at around 55 lbs. She does lose weight quickly when put on a low cal diet, but she's so darn cute it's hard to not succumb to that precious face and give her treats (and more treats and more). So, she's back on her diet again to get into perfect shape. Hazel is the perfect blend of activity. She can lie around in a cool spot, and wait for someone to walk past to give her a quick rub or pat, or she can romp joyously in the yard, doing zoomies. Hazel gets along well with dogs near her size. She's is simply a delight to be around and a wonderful ambassador for her breed.
Hazel is up to date on everything, and her adoption fee is $250.
