HAZEL Meet Hazel, a puppy with a heart full of joy and a spirit that never slows down. Her personality is as exuberant as her energy, making every day an adventure. This sweet, friendly girl is always ready to make you laugh with her goofy antics and playful nature tossing her toys about while running around showing them off to everyone. She's interested in other dogs and will give space to ones who may not want to interact. She already knows sit and down and is eager to continue her training. She's working on mastering her leash skills with our amazing volunteers and staff. Miss Hazel currently weighs in at 39lbs with growing to do. Hazel recently went into foster-- here's what her loving foster has to say about her experience: Hazel is thriving in foster. She has come a long way in two weeks, especially considering her youth, her focused, determined personality, and limited prior training. She is making amazing progress! She's an outgoing, curious, brave little girl and growingbefore my eyes. With practice, she now walks well within leash-length boundaries and regularly responds to a request to walk near me on a loose leash. Walks have become a pleasure for all.She practices waiting patiently before following through an open door or gate, before meals and with the food in front of her on the floor, and just plain waiting while her human does something else. Hazel is continuing to work on housebrokenness, and she accepts sleeping in a crate at night and even prefers to rest in there with the door open and retrieves toys and bones to bring in with her. Smart and quiet, she rarely barks, mostly when announcing something out of the ordinary is about. Very affectionate and loyal, she often prefers human company, loves pets and massages, and leans against her human's leg as she watches things. She would make a great companion for someone who can spend quality time with her and provide an interactive environment and lifestyle.
