My Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Hazel is a very sweet Boxer mix puppy who was born Christmas 2023. Unfortunately, she and her sister Shelby were going to be abandoned by someone who did not want to take care of them, so a kind foster mom took them into her home in hopes of finding each girl a wonderful new home. Hazel will be a medium sized adult. She is very playful and loving and gives great eye contact, caring what people think. Hazel is a lovely companion pup. Hazel doesn’t stray far from her human and tends to be on the submissive side. She has been to Red Beard training and enrichment to learn more basic skills and they said she was wonderful! Hazel enjoys hanging out with her sister and playing so would probably enjoy having a doggie friend in her new home. The first time Hazel was around a child was at the vet. Both puppies were very affectionate and playful with the child. Hazel is doing very well with both going outside and using a potty pad. She learned to use the doggy door in two days. Hazel is doing very well walking on the leash now and foster mom is taking her places and socializing her. Hazel is very good with foster mom’s dog. Her dog was raised in daycare so he’s usually pretty social. However, for some reason he doesn’t tend to do too well with puppies. They’re a bit rambunctious for him. With that said, they give him his space but continue to try to be friendly with him. Hazel is doing well in her crate. She can hold it for about four hours so far. Foster mom lets her go out freely through the dog door but also makes sure she goes out once every two hours and after meals. Hazel has a really good temperament. She is super sweet and foster mom can tell she aims to please since she absolutely loved praise and to hear “good girl”. Hazel would love to be adopted into a home with another dog that would welcome a young puppy. Adoption donation $100. Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
