My Story

Meet Hawthorn: Your Sweet and Playful Companion! Hi, my name is Hawthorn, and I am an 11-week-old puppy weighing 12 pounds. Let me tell you a bit about myself! I am a very sweet, playful, and curious little pup. I absolutely love going for walks and like to walk right by your side. On these walks, I have met multiple children and have done great! I also like other dogs and have met dogs of all sizes (the biggest being 90 pounds). I am intelligent and already know to sit when you feed me! I am doing well with crate and potty training. I sleep through the night and will go to the bathroom as soon as you take me out in the morning! I’m incredibly affectionate, outgoing, and social. I’m great with kids, even the small ones, and I get along well with other dogs, big and small. I’m also really great at basic skills, like waiting patiently to have my leash put on. If you are looking for a fun-loving puppy who will snuggle with you at bedtime, I’m your pup! I can’t wait to find my forever home and share all my love and adventures with you! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
