Hawk is a 55 lb 3-year old neutered male German Shorthaired Pointer. Hawk was surrendered to rescue due to his families busy and on the go lifestyle. Since being in foster care, Hawk is up to date on all vaccines and is currently on a flea, tick and heartworm preventative.
Hawk loves playing fetch, being outdoors and of course running! He is the defender of the back yard, if there is a bird or a squirrel he is chasing it. His intense energy is ideal for families with young and playful children. His foster home has 2 children ages 5 and 8, and a 3 yr old border collie/poodle mix. He is very social and great with other dogs. At the end of a busy day, Hawk is a cuddle bug and enjoys snuggle time!
Hawk is highly intelligent and needs consistent training. He is house trained and crate trained so rest assured he will be comfortable if home alone. He knows some basic commands and loves to walk with a leash, and e-collar helps with learning to control his hunting instincts when he is on or off leash.
