Hello! My name is Harwin. I was brought to RASKC as a stray and now I'm looking for my new home! I'm a BIG boy with a lot of love to give! I'm the strong, gentle type but I also have a mischievous side - I'm an expert escape artist. Fence and gates mean nothing to me, I'll push right through them! If that doesn't work, I'm also a great climber. Secure confinement and close supervision when off leash will be essential to keep me safe. ( I can scale 6 ft fences at the shelter and kennels!!) When I say I'm big, I mean it. I weigh a whopping 90lbs, and it's pure muscle. I'm in awesome shape and will need an active home to help me maintain my current level of fitness. It wouldn't hurt if my new owner is equally strong because I'm still working on my leash skills and I am a puller. I haven't met any other dogs while at RASKC but I have had a few fence greetings that have gone okay. Because I am so big and strong, it would be a good idea for any resident dogs to meet me in the shelter first so the staff can help us get off on the right paw. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!
