Meet Harvey; our sweet, gentle, seven year old beagle. STAF stepped up and saved both Harvey and his brother when the 30 day limit expired at their rural shelter and they were assigned a euthanasia date. Harvey is a darling looking dog, with big, beautiful brown eyes and freckles on his paws. This little guy, all of thirty-one pounds, is the ultimate cuddle bunny. He will press as much of his body up against yours as he possibly can and cannot get enough rubbies. He also has doggie friends he enjoys playing with at STAF. He does love his walks and is very good on a leash. Being a beagle, of course his nose is on the ground most of the way. Harvey will benefit from a securely fenced in yard He is all ready and willing to begin a brand new life in a loving home. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
