Meet Harry, the 10-pound Coton de Tulear who will melt your heart with his gentle eyes and playful spirit. Though Harry is cautious and a bit shy at first, once he feels safe around the humans in his presence, he opens up and warms up quickly. During puppy parties, Harry is playful and full of life, but he gets stressed with other dogs that are too energetic and in his face. He has already discovered the joy of toys and can be seen playing with them in the most adorable fashion. Harry needs someone who will go slow with him at first and allow him to gain trust when they first meet. His past experiences have made him wary, but you can tell he truly wants to love, trust, and be cherished. Are you ready to give Harry the patient, loving home he deserves? As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
