Meet Harold: Your Energetic Companion! Harold is a 3-year-old, sweet and loving terrier/schnauzer mix with big soulful eyes, a lean and athletic body and the personality traits of a border terrier. Harold is loving, loyal and engaging to those he is familiar with and gets along well with other dogs with appropriate introduction. He LOVES his walks and agility training, showcasing his intelligence and love for challenges. His food motivation makes him highly trainable, ideal for someone who enjoys interactive activities. Harold always asks to curl up next to you in that quiet time at the end of the day! He has been known to escape when he gets bored so it’s vital that he has a very secure fenced yard (minimum 6’) or someone who can keep him busy! While Harold has shown leash aggression towards other dogs, demonstrates symptoms of separation anxiety and has had a couple incidents of biting when startled or feeling trapped he has demonstrated improvement against all these challenges through ongoing training efforts and will continue to do so with patience and consistency. It is important for his new owner to be mindful of this and continue behavior strategies based on understanding his stress signals and positive reinforcement to manage his reactions. Harold will benefit from a dog-aware owner capable of providing the environment he needs. He would do best in a home without young children, and where older kids and adults can respect his need for space. With dedication and the right environment, Harold has the potential to become an amazing companion who will keep you active and bring joy to your life. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.
