My Story

Harley Quinn is a 3-4 year old female that found herself pregnant and in a high kill shelter. She delivered 6 beautiful healthy puppies while she was in the shelter. She was taken into foster within 48 hours of delivery. She allowed us to handle the puppies without any issues. She seemed to appreciate the fact that we wanted her and the puppies safe. The puppies have been adopted. We think she is lab/pit mix. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She is high energy and needs lots of exercise and activity to help her be a the focused and good girl she wants to be. She does need a loving but firm pet parent. With some training and good one on one time she has the potential to be a great companion for an active family. She was a wonderful mom to her puppies. She plays a little rough. She also has an active prey drive so we don’t recommend cats, fowl or other small animals in the home. She does tend to jump on people and this is being addressed. She roams close to her foster parents when we are outside. We are cautious with our cats and chickens due to her prey instinct. She would love to run and hike and be active. She has done fair with the other dogs at the foster home. We do slow introduction and limit her to our calmer dogs. We would recommend cautious introductions to other animals. To apply fill out our online Adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/80635351784158 Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States.
