Harley

Please note: IGCA Rescue - Colorado is not looking at an out-of-state adoption for Harley at this time. Standard practice is for dogs to be in Rescue for a minimum of two months with no local interest before we look elsewhere for a forever home.

Harley is a new addition to Colorado Rescue. He was an owner turn-in, along with Eddy, both with relatively few details. From everything we've seen so far, he's a great, well-adjusted young man.

Harley is UTD on his shots, is already neutered and recently had his teeth cleaned. Because he is so pale in color, the vet has stated that he must be restricted from being in the sun too much - it could cause tumors. He also detected a small hernia but nothing that is needs operation. Finally it appears that he may have had a broken leg in the past because of a scar on his leg.

Word of warning -- Harley is an accomplished "counter surfer"! He has easily jumped over a baby gate and was recently found drinking from his foster mom's counter fountain. A close eye will have to be kept on this habit! Foster mom is starting to believe that he may be part GAZELLE!!!

That said... he also has an abundance of playful energy. With a little training, we believe he would make a GREAT agility and/or fly ball dog.
