My Story

Donate to the PALS Doggy Digs Fund!
The Poweshiek Animal League Shelter is raising funds for a dog housing expansion at the shelter. Money raised will enable construction of a 30 by 50 foot addition, which will house PALS dogs. It will include new indoor and outdoor kennels, and will give dogs freedom to come in and out of the building, all while staying safely contained.
Not only will this greatly benefit the dogs, but it will also benefit the cats, as the cat room will be moved to the current dog room, giving much more space for playtime. The cat room will be converted into a much needed isolation room.
Simply PayPal to [email protected] or mail your check to PALS, PO Box 123, Grinnell, IA 50112 - note that your donation is for the Doggy Digs Fund!
THANK YOU!!

Hey, are you looking for the most ginormous and happy goofy furkid you could ever find? Then look no further, that's me Harley, here at the PALS shelter! I'm just 2 years young so not actually totally full grown even yet, and I love everybody and everypuppy. I love to play, I love to get attention, I love to run and go for walks, I love pupperonis, I love toys, well I love just about anything good and I don't really love being homeless. Umm, me and cats are not a good combination, so I need a home without them fur sure.

I had a good home and my first daddy can no longer care for me; it's nobody's fault, not mine or his, and he made sure I got a place here at the PALS shelter so I'll have my chance at finding my new family. I am so ready to come home and this beautiful weather makes me even more excited about having my own family to play with and love, so please call or e-mail the PALS people about me!

Harley's adoption donation is $95 which includes his neuter, microchipping, deworming, and shots. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located below to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of furkids - our own and the PALS kids - and we are all volunteers with families, homes and full time jobs. We'll return email and phone inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
