Happy Dog is a young male dog. We think he is a Maremma Sheepdog mix
I you know what breed he is we would appreciate hearing from you. He is such a sweet loving cheerful always upbeat dog. He is as you can see mostly soft sparkling white a joy to pet and snuggle next to. He would be marvelous with children. The 2nd picture is of a pure breed Maremma NOT HAPPY. Most Maremma's are all white but I have seen pictures of some with considerable tan chestnut on the head like Happy.
The Maremma Sheepdog is a large, fluffy, white shepherding dog is native to the mountainous regions of the Apennine Mountains in the Italian region of Abruzzo. They are somewhat smaller than many similar working dogs, but they make up for it with fierce determination and intelligence.
Maremma Sheepdog's are intelligent, and easy to handle and train as most herding dogs are. It is a loving and gentle animal; obedient and always eager to please. Happy and alert.
